Campaign Funding Priorities
The $3,750,000 million Generosity Campaign is grounded in three priorities that reflect who we are and who God is calling us to become:
1. Caring for Our Sacred Space (Capital Projects - $2,750,000)
Our buildings are the vessel through which generations have experienced God’s love.
Today, critical systems that support our campus require urgent attention. Engineering assessments confirm that key infrastructure has reached the end of its lifespan.
Campaign investments will include:
Replace boilers and HVAC systems that heat and cool our building
Replace seven flat roofs and rooftop mechanical equipment
Renew the nave, including repair of wood framing surrounding stained glass windows, new lighting controls, and new audio and streaming capabilities
Modernize elevator control system
Upgrade select kitchen equipment
Restore bell tower masonry
Update our Great Hall to support future community needs
This investment will:
Ensure a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for all
Enable growing ministries to thrive without disruption
Responsibly steward our physical spaces for future generations
2. Expanding Ministry & Advancing Mission (Ministry & Outreach Support - $500,000)
Holy Comforter is experiencing growing demand for vibrant, meaningful ministry across all ages.
The campaign will expand our ministry impact by investing in:
Youth, Family, and Formation Programs
Strengthening children’s formation (All Things Bright & Beautiful)
Launching new initiatives like a youth podcast
Expanding young adult engagement and leadership programs
Creating a full-time Family Ministry Associate role
Growing Sunday programming, Vacation Bible School, and youth arts/music
Outreach & Mission
Increasing outreach grants to support community partners
Launching a family-focused speaker series
Expanding opportunities for mission trips and service
These investments will:
Allow Holy Comforter to grow to welcome new families
Form compassionate spiritual leaders of all ages
Deepen engagement across generations
Extend Holy Comforter’s mission across the North Shore and beyond
3. Securing a Strong & Faithful Future (Endowment - $500,000)
Holy Comforter’s endowment is essential to sustaining our mission. While our current endowment is strong at over $5.8 million, our future growth is uncertain without new investment in this foundational resource.
This campaign will:
Strengthen long-term financial stability
Support growing operational needs
Provide flexibility to expand ministries and programs
By investing in our endowment today, we ensure that Holy Comforter can continue to thrive for generations to come.
