Toddlers

(For children between 9months and 23 months at the start of school) 

This class provides an opportunity for tots and caregivers (parents, grandparents, nannies - any adult caregiver is welcome!) to begin entering into the preschool environment together. Tots have the opportunity to play through exploration and art in a space outside their home and to begin socializing with their peers. The hour consists of free play time that often includes options in sensory play centers or simple art explorations over the course of the year, providing students with a wide and varied experience. A caregiver attends with each child for the whole hour; however, our tots are encouraged to interact not only interact with their caregiver but to also explore on their own and interact with their peers, other adults, and their teacher. As the class progresses, if students are ready, we may transition the class to being without their caregivers staying. This class is a great first introduction to school and playing with a peer group while also providing the adults attending a chance to connect with others in the community who are caring for children in a similar stage of life.
