Three-Year-Olds

Three-Year-Olds

(For children who are 3 years old by the start of school)

The three-year-old year sees immense growth and development. Children are eager to follow their interests and explore new ones, and our curriculum encourages them to engage with a wide range of topics and materials. This is also the year when we see children shift from parallel play with peers to collaborative play. Our program is designed to promote these experiences and the classroom environment is structured to develop the key social and emotional skills needed to build relationships.

Our three-year-old classes are also designed to encourage independence and autonomy. We help guide children through steps to gain confidence and exercise executive functioning skills. Developing these skills contributes to children’s sense of well-being and accomplishment.

Through carefully planned and intentional experiences with literature, science, movement, art, music, and imaginative play, we encourage children to test ideas, explore their emotions, and develop a love of learning. Each class enjoys time on the playground and visits our children’s Chapel bi-weekly where they hear stories from the Bible, learn songs, pray, and celebrate God’s love and wonder.
