Worship Service Ministries
Acolytes light and extinguish candles, carry the processional cross (Crucifer), and the candles (Torch), and assist with the presentation of the bread and wine. Although acolytes may be adults or children, it is traditionally the first experience our youth have assisting the clergy with, and vesting for, the liturgy. This opportunity is available to students in grades 4-12.
We have adult and children’s choirs. Click here
for more information.
Greeters welcome worshippers and assist with the presentation of the gifts at the Sunday liturgy and other special services during the year. This opportunity is available for adults and youth.
Lay Readers and Intercessors
Lay Readers and Intercessors come forward from the congregation to read the Holy Scripture and the Prayers of the People. This opportunity is available for adults and high school students
Lay Eucharistic Ministers (LEM)
Lay Eucharistic Ministers serve as chalice bearers and lay readers at Sunday and special liturgies. Participation is limited by diocesan directive and appointment is made by the Rector.
Videographers operate our state-of-the-art audio and video system to record Sunday and special services. Our youth in grades 7-12 perform this ministry.
Youth Liturgy Mentors
Adults mentor our youth, assisting them as they prepare for leadership and ministry in the parish as acolytes, greeters, lay readers, and videographers.
