Reconciliation

Reconciliation, or Confession, as it is often called, is a celebration of the fact that all sins that have ever been or ever will be committed have already been forgiven by God on the cross of Jesus Christ.

Reconciliation is the sacrament wherein this forgiveness is personalized and individualized for one who acknowledges his or her own sinfulness, is penitent, and seeks the specific absolution of God as mediated through the Church. Preparation for confession is important, and the Sacrament of Reconciliation can be incorporated into a more general Rule of Life or course of spiritual direction. The Clergy of Holy Comforter are available to aid individual Christians in this solemn and profound act of journeying in Christ toward wholeness and spiritual health.
