Youth Groups

4-5-6

Experiencing community for our youth in Grades 4-5-6 is the goal for this age group. They attend the 9:00 a.m. liturgy with their families each Sunday and are also given the opportunity to participate as liturgists, greeters, videographers and Youth Choir Members.  We encourage our families to worship together, to actively participate, and to celebrate our life as a loving community.
Following the 9:00 Eucharist, the students in Fourth, Fifth and Sixth grades meet in classrooms to continue to build community through fun and fellowship.

Junior High School

Building community is the primary focus for our Junior High School Students this year.  We will gather in and out of  the classroom as we learn about each other and our common journey. What are the opportunities and obstacles we all face on the journey. Weekly activities may include a walking field trip down to the beach or to the local park.
Participation in the liturgy is a vital way for the youth to connect with the life and pulse of the parish as we worship together. Opportunities for participation include serving as Acolytes, Intercessors, Lay Readers, Greeters, and Videographers.

High School

WHAM (We Have A Mission) gathers regularly at 10:00 am on Sunday mornings in the lower level meeting room. Fellowship, hands-on outreach, and local and global mission work are also important components of the high school program. A quarterly WHAM newsletter keeps our students up-to-date on all activities and events throughout the year. Patti Pateros is the high school youth group leader and she may be reached at pjpateros@holycomforter.org.
