Even in the Weeds

by Jill Klusendorf, Director of Community Life

I wish I could tell you that I have been working on this column for a long time, but in truth, and in the interest of full disclosure, I haven't. I had to scramble. Everyone at CHC called "dibs" on content. In my family, "dibs" are sacred. So, here's what I've been up to in the last month... in no particular order and, in most cases, multiply by a million.

Returned personal e-mails
Friends don't like my non - instant reply
Checked in with children at University
Reply to be scheduled sometime or never
Procured Homecoming flowers
          Home Run! Lovely!

          Sparking clean!
Sprinkler shut off scheduled
No worries about lawn blowing up onto itself
Car maintenance complete
No more Rattle, Rattle, Thunder, Clatter, Boom, Boom, Boom!

          Dog feeling better, hopefully

Ad infintitum...Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

This is LIFE! We are all in pretty much the same boat. Embrace it. Relish it. Laugh at it. Be THANKFUL for it. Find God in it. He will lead you out of "the weeds" if you let Him. It's truly SO fun when you do. I promise. Even if you have to clean up the mess!

I am so exceptionally thankful for you all and the amazing place that is Church of the Holy Comforter!

Thanks, and Peace be with you.
