New Children's Choir Director

Posted: 10/8/2012

It is with great delight that I can announce that we have a Children's Choir Director!  Mr. Bill Gordon, the music teacher for grades 4 through 8 at Joseph Sears School, has accepted the position, and is raring to go!  The committee that has been guiding the process of establishing our new program reviewed all the applications, and interviewed two stellar candidates before choosing Bill.  A former professional singer with extensive experience in many facets of music, he has been a grade school teacher for 14 years, and has also founded and developed an interfaith choir at a church in Chicago.  Bill has sent a letter, which is here, and you can learn more about his experience by visiting his web site at Sears school here...

If you are interested in being part of this promising new ministry with and among our kids, please come to an organization/informational gathering Wednesday, September 19 in the Great Room at 6:00 p.m. We will supply pizza, salad, and drinks, and then outline the program. And if you have any questions, or know already that you want to sign up your child(ren) to be part of the choir, please contact Fr. Parkin, Mary Johnson or Derek Nickels.
