Our vision statement makes clear that “from the abundance of grace we have received, we minister to one another and to the larger community.” Our first commitment is to our own community. The Clergy leads in pastoral care with visits to hospitals, the homebound and the bereaved. Groups of the laity from the Prayer Guild to the Lay Eucharistic Visitors insure that all of the community of faith is nurtured as they face the joys and travails of our lives. We have a broad program of outreach to the less advantaged in the surrounding community which is supported by the generous time commitments of our parishioners and funded within the church budget. Examples range from our work with the soup kitchen and tutoring at Good News Partners in Rogers Park to our Mission Partners program which provides financial and hands-on support to a local Episcopal church.
