| Learning About Our Faith
As part of our lives together as Christians, we seek to grow in our relationship with God through conversation, study of scripture, and exploration of what it means to be God’s people. On Sundays the Church is alive with learning for all ages.
Our professionally supervised nursery provides a caring environment for infants and children through age two and is available from 9:00-noon. Our Church School program for children ages three through third grade is Christian centered, educational, and age-appropriate. From 9:00-10:45 the children participate in group activities, games, and crafts, learn songs, listen to stories, and worship in our Children’s Chapel with a special Eucharist designed for them. Fourth grade through high school students attend the adult Eucharist with their parents before breaking off into classrooms for fourth through sixth grades, and youth groups for junior high and high schoolers. Throughout the year there are numerous fellowship and outreach opportunities for these youth groups.
Following the 9:00 Eucharist, adults attend the Adult Forum, an educational and informative presentation by clergy, parishioners or guest speakers. This coffee hour and talk format is an important time for fellowship and learning.
Finally, there are numerous opportunities to deepen one’s faith and commitment, from Bible studies to prayer groups. For more information on the Church School and Adult Forum and programs, please go to the Christian Formation section under Parish Information. |
