Our church has grown since 17 local families started the parish in 1898. The church proper, a gothic revival structure, dates from 1904. The many development projects led over the years by our eight rectors have transformed the original church into the complex that now provides worship, education and fellowship space for over 300 families. Holy Comforter has a wonderful history and for our Centennial Celebration in 2002 we published an illustrated history that tells its complete story. We give this book as a gift to all newcomers and hope you will join us and become part of our history.

For just over 100 years Church of the Holy Comforter has stood on the south east corner of Warwick and Kenilworth Avenues at 222 Kenilworth Avenue in the lovely north shore Chicago suburb of Kenilworth.
