Hazel Green, Kentucky
Campton / Hazel Green is a beautiful eastern Kentucky community, nestled in the Appalachian Mountains. Eastern Kentucky has a very rich historical and mountain / bluegrass musical heritage.  Campton / Hazel Green is 1½ hours southeast of Lexington off I-64 and the Mountain Parkway. Hazel Green is located between the cities of Campton and West Liberty.

Some of What You Can Expect On A Hazel Green Mission Project
• Beautiful scenic and historic horse farms.
• A week working and developing relationships in true Appalachia.
• Building our lives spiritually through evening gatherings.
• Meaningful and helpful work projects assisting the elderly and the economically deprived.
• Developing stronger friendships and relationships among our work team group.
• Visiting the beautiful Natural Bridge State Park.
• Visiting a local service at an Appalachian church.

Capsule of our Mission Week
• We will do basic work projects in this Appalachia community [fixing, painting, cleaning].
• We will enjoy prayer, journaling, and team sharing time each day.
• We will learn the Appalachian culture and get to know people in the local community.
• We will see God do amazing things through our listening, watching and serving!

Registration
This mission trip is open to all high school students who are regular participants in the Sunday morning WHAM program; there is a Sunday morning attendance requirement of 14 classes.  Cost of the trip and means of transportation will be determined by the number of participants.
