SEPTEMBER 2011 LOCK-IN

Eleven 6th grade members of iConnect spent the night locked up in the church - but had plenty of fun doing it!  After a taco dinner, they had a campfire in the Columbarium and made s-mores for dessert.  Unfortunately the rain prevented them from having their scavenger hunt and evening prayers under the stars, but they sat around the altar and said their prayers together.  They gathered in the high school room to watch the movie WALL-E, played for a while before settling down for the night.

They had an early morning walk to the beach so that they could do morning prayer as they watched the sunrise - and much to the chaperones' surprise, they all got up and were out the door at 6am!  After having cereal and pop tarts for breakfast, they cleaned up their rooms and headed home - and probably back to bed! It was a good start to what promises to be a great year for iCONNECT!
